11,368, which puts me at 102,496. Halfway!

I went from doing next to nothing all season to 10K+ most days. I decided to cover up the PM during the Challenge rows so I wouldn't hassle myself about pace, get tired, and give up. Right now I'm after quantity, not quality—I'm fine with junk meters.

Here's what happened:

May 01 thru Nov 23: 11 rows ( ), avg distance 5,100m
Nov 24 thru Dec 06: 10 rows, avg distance 10,250m

My avg 500m pace during the Challenge is 3 seconds faster than when I was watching the monitor, for rows more than twice as long. I'm keeping that baby covered for a while!
(fast in glacial terms at least)

18,500 m today. 9,500 (43:20.1) in the morning and 9,000 (39:16.3) in the afternoon. A one day record for me. Also the first time I have rowed twice in one day. At 132,000 in the challange so far. Maybe, since work is slow this week I'll row twice a day a couple more time this week and try to catch up to Xeno.

I only did 15K today. Dang, no matter how hard I try, I can't cover the distances Xeno and Lucas do on the 3 by 6 cardio workout DVD. Oh well, it's fun to try. I finished the Holiday Challenge a couple of days ago.

Byron

Ok,

Olivia who runs the 0815 is gone to the Dominican Republic with Princeton Review, instructor Santiago went back to Mexico City, instructor Marko is sick, and I am left to run the classes like a beer towing horse. But heck that is OK, I put in 36KMS this AM.

XENO

Today Polaco and I were supposed to race in Amsterdam. Due to flight delays because of heavy fog in Amsterdam, we had to cancel the trip
Nevertheless, and taking advantage of the beautyfull weather in Castelldefels, we went to the Olympic Channle and had a nice 12k row on the coxless pair.
At about the race time (13:30), we couldn't resist to do a 2k on the gym ergs. (+ 1,5k "warmup").
That makes a total of unexpected 15,5 k for today...
Very sorry to miss the meeting with Hennie, Pieter and all the other Dutch folks!

Today 20 k OTW again on the 2- with Polaco.
If everything goes well, we are planning to race the Spanish championships this summer in the pairs (still to decide if coxless or coxed by my son Eric "Guacamole").
Although we enjoy our rowing very much, there are still lots of space for improvement!
