Hello!
I’m new in the rowing world, this week I had the opportunity to buy a C2 second hand in very good condition, I’m watching on YouTube some good channels about rowing and reading here some information
And going to my question about force curve graph , I have noticed all the pictures I come across display Kg and lbs on the left of the graph and mine says N and lbf. How can I change that to kg and lbs? Or it’s doesn’t matter?
Thanks !
PM5 force curve units
Re: PM5 force curve units
Here is a pic of the curve graph on my pm5, as you can see the units are N and lbf

Re: PM5 force curve units
Those are indeed the correct units: the Kg is the unit for weight (mass), not for Force. So it would be odd to report a force in kilograms.

Re: PM5 force curve units
Since the PM doesn't show numbers on the Y axis it really doesn't matter what the units are, as long as it's really measuring (I should say calculating) Force.
It could be dynes, poundals, whatever...

Thanks for the answers,
just wondering why all the graph photos i've seen on internet are showing it in kg and lbs, but mine in N and lbf

Re: PM5 force curve units
My PM5 shows N and lbf, probably a recent update to ISO units. Ergdata shows the force in Newtons.
