Hey everybody,
Does anybody else manage to use the ski erg with a bad wrist?
I’m 35 but have early arthritis after an old sporting injury. My wrist aches often anyway regardless of exercise, I had to stop using the ski erg a few years ago (did intense intervals) due to the pain.
A direct pull might not be an issue. I thought about getting different handles, sitting down, and doing essentially lat pull downs for distance…
Keen for peoples’ input
Thanks!

Re: Wrist pain!!
My wrist doesn't like sheering forces on it so the skierg sometimes aggravates it. I use a wrist wrap (not wrist strap) that would normally be used for bench press. I take it off during rest periods. The ones I use are old thin and flimsy which is actually ideal as they dont over support. I had a quick look on amazon but couldn't find the exact ones I use. When putting it on do so as though for bench press so it on the top of the wrist and bottom of the hand, a yt video will show you how. I have also tried a skateboard wrist guard but it was too bulky.

Re: Wrist pain!!
Have you tried a wrist brace? You don't need wrist mobility to skiERG.
Re: Wrist pain!!
Thanks for the responses guys,
I never tried any kind of straps or handles other than the ones which come with the ski erg new model.
Wraps might be an idea. I’ve since heard of the death grip and wonder if I had that.. I’ve seen people talk about wrapping the thumb inside the fingers when gripping rather than
Over the top which might help.
Thanks!
