Dangerscouse
Re: Dangerscouse
Done to my satisfaction, to fine tune my drum sounds, I've found, like it was hidden, an adjustment area on the Walkman, and the best track I found for that adjustment was "little fluffy clouds" if you can remember the track, you'd have to be 40+.
Ive spent the day customising my walkman settings, what an awesome little machine this is for the price.
I remember the 'Denon' set up I had in the 90s and I'm sure the sound quality now I've tweaked the settings to my hearing seems as good as that.
So three hundred hundred and eighty nine cds imported at 320 kps. Has not even scratched the surface of my one terrabite micro disc, how of earth did they get so small, and cheap, twenty years ago you'd need something the size of a small suitcase with a huge fan for 256k, no I jest, but not much .
And now I hold every cd I ever bought in the palm of my hand,
Only to find my children and grandchildren look at music very differently today, the majority of them want it instantly and they don't mind if it's rubbish quality, or if it's on loan or they get to keep it, or if the music only happens after twenty minutes of ads..
In my time we played vinyl at a pound for two singles, over and over, because that's all we could afford, for delivering newspapers, that are on the way out too .

It is quite easy to take the technology for granted, but it is very impressive.
I saw The Orb supporting Primal Scream on their Screamadelica tour, so I know Little Fluffy Clouds

That's amazing, one of my favourite albums, sent a shiver down my spine reading that.
The last really amazing band I saw was the chilli's in 2004, supported by James brown....
I was at live aid I have the ticket framed in my lounge, I was very drunk and very stoned
Queen made it for me, we were singing all the way to the tube and beyond, I'll never forget it. Ticket and travel cost me a week's wages. Memory.... Priceless.

Re: Dangerscouse
The memories and dopamine rush from a great gig are definitely priceless. Screamadelica is an all time favourite album, that has grown on me the older I've got.
Basement Jaxx at Birmingham Academy in 2005, and the Wonder Stuff in Leeds in 2010 are probably my most favourite gigs. Basement Jaxx always used to a sample a tune and make a remix out of it: this time it was Ace of Spades to a techno beat. Wonder Stuff was all about the mosh pit, and feeling like I was 17 again.

Re: Dangerscouse
I saw basement jaxx too on the Plymouth round of that tour in 2005. It was so, I want to say intimate, but there were under five thousand of us there, and we had loads of space to dance, it was a rush of an evening, and mighty fine, I'm glad you enjoyed it too, I bet it was a bit busier in the city.

I bet if we listed the gigs we've attended, I would lay even money we were in the same place at the same time at least once, it's so addictive isn't it..

Not getting much rowing done this week, which was the whole point of the music excursion. Back to it at the weekend.

I'm trying to hunt down, tikal carnival.. I have the other two albums, the best I can get is a cd for £52 which is a bit out of my league, any ideas...
Maybe a bit French goa'n, I have heard some of the tracks from cosmic dragon, mixed into club nights, so maybe you've heard of them.
Worth a shot.

Anyway just having a chilled out day listening to music, which I haven't done for about a decade... Maybe that's what's missing in my life..
Listening to butterfly crazy town, apparently my single is worth fifty quid, madness.
