PM5 stopped recording

Post by Yankeerunner » March 17th, 2022, 8:07 pm

During my BikeErg workout this morning my PM5 abruptly stopped recording after a few minutes of pedaling. I can program a workout, and it will show the time or distance that I entered, but when I pedal it doesn't record the rpm or pace or count down from the time or distance.

It's a new machine as of last Summer, and I updated to the most recent software when it came out last Winter.

I tried pushing the reset button in the back of the monitor but that didn't work.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

Is the sensor still connected (the Jackplug on the PM5)?

It's irrelevant to a bikeerg.

The likely failure is a disconnected or broken sensor wire.

Problem sol-ved.

Yes, it was my sensor wire. I had to take the monitor off the machine and bring it to my computer to update the software, and when I mounted back onto the BikeErg I apparently didn't click it all the way into the hole. Idiot.

Thanks for the help!
