Right im off to do a 10k, normally I've been rowing on my days off every week, that's four days a week. During mud madness and world erg team challenge I'll be rowing every day.
I'm no expert Rower, I'm just determined πŸ˜‚

Hahaha, is that a new PB too? If not, you need to update your signature

Holly, The suggestion of starting out with the 10k's and shift down to 5k's if you get tired is a good one. I plan on doing the 5k challenge. I will do closer to 7K each day. Stay under the HR that your doc's require. My HR limit is 134 bpm so it is just a matter of maintaining a pace and adjusting your 500 meter rate to keep the HR in the target range. I find music to be distracting and my HR tends to go over the target but you may be more successful. I am a guy and can concentrate on 1 thing at a time. Concentrate on form and breathing and you should be successful. I am impressed that you do 10k's. I would need a seat pad to sit on the seat that long ;-) Good luck on you challenge

With some quality training, I think you'll set all new PBs with a month of daily 10ks. I'm still setting PBs and I've been rowing, on and off, for almost 22 years.

Come on Edward, stop procrastinating and commit to something for yourself.

This challenge is open to everyone with a concept 2 Rower, a shared experience of pain and suffering, with a real achievement attached to it πŸ˜‚
Ok, count me in for 10s then!

Thanks Darrell, I don't find the 10k so bad, I did another one today in preperation, 52 minutes so about on par with what I want to be doing throughout March.
I don't think much of seat pads, when I used to do endurance riding on motorcycles, I only had a gel pad once after a couple of hundred miles all seats feel hard πŸ˜‚. I found that if you use any seat daily you get used to the saddle soreness.

I keep my heart rate 120/125, which seems to work well with my 122/125 spm, today's music was gorillaz [uk] original album, I wonder if people, watch TV, listen to audio books, or music or just prefer peace and quiet when they row.

Depends on my rowing goal.

For short, hard distances, I like music. Something to help me push through when it starts to hurt.

If rowing more than 40 minutes, I like watching Netflix to have a distraction. Otherwise I'd drive myself crazy by constantly counting to arbitrary targets. Unfortunately, I think watching a show tends to make my form sloppy... so not sure it's a good thing.

Tried slow steady state the past two nights for about 12km each. As long as I start early enough each night, and can hold a slower pace instead of charging blindly forward, then March should be fun! :)

I can only row with music, and I can't row without it too.

So what are your music favourites, since restarting rowing, I've reconnected with my music and I'm just working my way through my album collection. I've easily got thirty one hours of music to accompany my march mad hatter month.
It would be interesting to see or rather hear what you're listening to to accompany the third of a million meters in March.

Photo test,

As you can see I'm still having trouble with photos, I have a photo resizer,
It will do all kinds of things except make photos acceptable for the site.

Has anyone got the sizings kb or anything that I can apply to make the photo thing work.
Please bear in mind that I'm blonde with blonde tendencies, even though I'm more grey than blonde these days πŸ˜‚

I am addicted to electronic music since I started listening to music at all. I like harder styles, but also trancy stuff, so wide range of electro genre is working for me πŸ˜‡
Not sure if this would match your taste in music...

Same for me, don't know how to handle that in this forum.
Never faced a similar problem in any other forum - and I was registered in some different ones πŸ˜„
