Post by Akrower » January 27th, 2022, 7:56 am

Hi all

Recently bought the rowerG
Its been about 15 days
Love it so far,

This morning i noticed that the seat is stuck at the starting position.
Its immovable

Any ideas as to why this happened and how to fix it.

Thank you

Seat is pretty simple. probably something caught in the rollers.

Welcome to the forum : )

Are you the only person who has access to the rower?

The seat doesn't just jam on its own - someone has to slam it against one of the stops or something else weird such as jammed rollers has to occur.

Take a few minutes to inspect it and you should be able to diagnose the cause.

Good Luck

My seat arrived stuck like that, something in shipping upset it.

Yours may have been caught up if your weight was on only one side as you got up from rowing.

Either way, give it a good slap slightly up. It'll pop back where it's supposed to be. And likely you'll never see this again.

If you do see this again, or can't get the seat freed up and rolling then call C2 support. This can happen, but its very rare. If you see it twice something is wrong and needs to be set right.

Grand/great grand kids are notorious for futzing with the rower, the little devils!

Another thing new owners soon learn is that you never lift the rear of the rower with the seat in the middle or near the aft end - it will zip forward in a blink and smash into the front stop.
