Just curious if anyone knows where one can pick up Empacher touch up paint or maybe what the color code is. It’s prohibitively expensive to ship a small can to the US from Germany. Thanks.

Empacher touch up paint
Re: Empacher touch up paint
There's this from google, might be right, might not. Maybe call and ask them.

HEX: #ECDC6E
LRV: 69.86%
These guys repair empacher boats with hull damage, maybe ask them. Note if asking a pro for advice, offer to pay. Some will be happy for help you for free, but its how they make their living. (never used this place, or worked with them, so research first or google to find another similar place.

not sure of the accuracy. advice seems good tho
1. check with https://www.shellrepairusa.com/
2. google or ask importer or empacher in germany for schools that row their shells. School boats get patched. Find a local school. Most clubs/teams share/trade/give help.
3. not sure if "When I owned an Empacher single and had it repaired, Bob Klinger noted that Empacher paint can vary in shade of yellow quite a bit year to year. So, he had ended up hand mixing a color to match." is true. If so you may need to do the same. (bob Klinger used to repair boats in mass, maybe still does.)
