For me the message disappears on all workouts equally when I start rowing again. Running Android 10.
You connected to Ergdata with a USB cable or Bluetooth ?

For me, message only appeared with USB cable. No message with bluetooth.

Preydey is on a PM4, so is using a cable
I connect with bluetooth. When I stop rowing for ~10 seconds, the prompt appears. When I start again, it goes away without the need to touch any buttons :)
I've just done my first interval training on my Concept 2. I'm using Ergdata connected with bluetooth.
I also have this annoying "Have you finished ..." question from Ergdata after 10 seconds in each rest period (while gasping for air, sweat in my eyes and heart rate pounding) ... so I would rather be resting than attempting to press a shaking finger on the confirmation that I haven't finished.

After all, the workout is set up as intervals, so it should know I'm not finished until the last programmed interval/rest, no?
Has anyone found a solution in the last six months or so? Thanks.

You using bluetooth? If so you should not see the message if you keep rowing during rest.

If you stop rowing during rest the message appears. It's supposed to. To clear it you don't need to hit the button, just start rowing again. (or you can clear it by hitting the button)

Problem was for people using USB cable, not bluetooth, the message doesn't go away when you start rowing again.

Thanks Tsnor. Yes, indeed, I'm using Bluetooth.

However, I do stop for a few seconds in the rest period (aiming for maximum recovery after some very tough and long intervals and a moment to wipe the sweat out of my eyes )
And, you are right the question goes away as soon as I row again.
But, I was worried that if I didn't answer fast enough, it would assume I had finished and disconnect Ergdata, which would take me back to the problem we discussed a couple of days ago (having to use Concept2 Utility to upload data and then it not getting synchronised to Garmin Connect, but okay to Strava).

So, was hoping I might be able to turn the confirmation question off ; apparently not.

I will try using Ergzone next time, as can automatically set the intervals for the training plans I will use (Rowalong). Much less tedious than programming them manually on the PM5.
Cheers. Colin

I'm a massive fan of Ergzone and I find it far more user friendly.

Single times and timed intervals (50 max) continue until we stop them, even if we pull just one stroke. Single time can also be used for any interval session, by setting a short split time.

That's good to know - thanks.

Did anyone manage to solve the issue of ErgData not working if it's in the background? (e.g. if you're watching movies while rowing).

Wondering if ErgZone or Krew might work better? Thanks all, row hard!

This is most likely a device issue and the battery optimization settings are the culprit. Try to set the optimization to least aggressive setting and set the app to not be killed on the background and see if it works.

If all else fails, you can always upload the workouts using the Concept2 app (and lose the power-HR-stroke rate graph, sadly)
