I picked up a used Model D off FB marketplace. The date code is 111720. Below the date code, it says, “Part Number: 2865 - Refurb.” I’ve never seen the refurb language before. Can someone tell me what that means? The previous owner bought it new from Rogue, so I wouldn’t think it would be refurbished. Thoughts?
If it is refurbished, anything to worry about?

Re: Part 2865 - Refurb
There is no part# 2865.
There's a #2856 https://shop.concept2.com/model-drowerg ... del-d.html
So you're going to need to post some photos of what you're looking at. Stick the photos on https://imgur.com post the links on here.

Re: Part 2865 - Refurb
Welcome to the forum. : )
Assuming the rower is operating properly, I would consider these two options:
1) If you think there's some reason for concern call or e-mail C2 and see what they say.
2) Forget about the whole thing and "just row" (to quote the PM menu option)
Personally I'd go with #2. Unless it was mistreated and is obviously misbehaving, an erg is a reliable device, especially a relatively new one. Unless there is reason to doubt it, which you haven't mentioned, then it looks like you're on your way to some good workouts.
Happy rowing.

Call and ask, or email and point to your photo. C2 support is friendly, and will likely tell you what the sticker means. Post if you get an answer.
And don't worry about it, refurb or new, these ergs are mostly indestructible.
Date code decodes like 073106 = (7/31/2006) so your erg was built 111720 = Nov 17 2020.
For perspective, C2 production was on a war footing at that time - coming off a 6 week closing, staggered minimum on-site shifts, broken supply chain, long wait list. One color, one model erg. (I ordered mine Sept 2020 and got it in Nov, don't know the build code, but it's got to be near yours).
