Not much of a "brag" but took 1 second off the 5K time today.

Now sitting at 18:42.2 and I was physically done in at the end.

Pace was all over the shop, I was miles behind my previous PB with 1K to go.

The UT1 & 2 training can't come soon enough!
Well done (again). You recognise newbie gains but those have to gain those first. Be interesting to see your split times - each 1k.
Is there a quick way of uploading the splits from the app?

Pardon my ignorance.
Either a photo of your workout on the PM5 or if you upload from ErgData to your Concept training log you can copy the numbers from there to paste in.

Personally, if you've given it your all, and you feel totally emptied, then it's definitely worth bragging about imo. With 1k to go, to dig out a PB is a great effort.

Ah like this...

@Dangerscouse, it was absolutely the best effort I could have given on the day.

However, on reflection all I had to eat was two croissants and a coffee several hours prior to the attempt... Hectic day at work but I was determined to do something on my late lunch.

You REALLY did dig it out in that last 1k.

When you get more confident, experienced & fitter you'll increase the stroke rate for the whole 5k. Rowing 4k at that pace is a lot harder at circa r20 than r28

Nothing to really brag with, but dertermined my PBs for 100m and 1min with a pressure warmup 1k during breakfast:
100m: 0:17.4
1min: 331m
1k: 3:28.7 (not full effort as it was the short warmup...)

Hopefully these will get faster as technique gets better 👍🏻

Very nice set of markers you are putting down.

The "edit" button disappears if someone quotes the post, and also after some elapsed time that I haven't figured out.

One of my exceptionally rare appearances in this thread - probably the third or fourth time in the last 5 years! Managed a +1m on my 1 min PB today with a 355m total - :D

It seems there's life in the old dog yet.
