Had some wind generated natural tree trimming happen yesterday - took off half a plum tree....but it was the mostly dead half, so maybe this is a good thing? Tree clean up wasn't in my plans!

Woo-hoo! It is fantastic to see all the reindeer and so many wearing their bling! I have been out of the loop for a while. There are so many new names. Welcome to all of you! I'm Karyn. I'm an on the water rower from Connecticut, USA who mostly spends time on my erg in the winter months. I joined the Lunatics way back when. (I'm honestly not sure when. Maybe 2088 or 2009?). I was part of our first mission to the moon. Glad to have you aboard for all of the other space travel we do.

I started off the Holiday challenge, but then moved house during this time frame and much of my stuff is in storage. Sadly, my erg is one of those items. I did start erging a bit at the gym, but will likely only get to the 100k mark this year.

What's not to love about a good story?! AC Golden is a small batch brewery - and let's just say a few sample runs get some creative labeling. And the Christmas 2021 label is very shareworthy because it tells The Legend of Brewdolph. It's a product that is not for sale, so you won't see in retail anywhere, but it is quite real. From the label:

Everyone knows the most famous reindeer of all. But did you know he has an older cooler cousin named Brewdolph? It's true. This cherry-nosed caribou of Christmas wisely broke free from the herd and ran south in the seasonal hills of Golden, CO. Winter break is here, which means my numbers are going to change a bit. I got myself a SkiErg for my birthday/work anniversary, and just tried it for a few minutes. It is going to kick my butt, but for now it'll be my rowing warmup most likely.

My goal will remain 3-4 workouts per week, otherwise I will end up not meeting my goals which leads to frustration and more missed workouts.

My goal for this week in particular is hitting the 100k for the challenge.
