Re: Cross Team Challenge - Discussion Thread
Hi Dougie
Sorry to add to your admin load, but could you please bin my October entry (Dave Moores (FF))? Somehow ended up doing a 12 x 1 min challenge and entered it before realising that wasn't the CTC.
Thanks
Dave

I can only ever delete a result, it won't put any previous results back.

Re: Cross Team Challenge - Discussion Thread
Thanks Dougie. I was looking for a binning of the 1 metre result I captured to overwrite my incorrect one. I didn't get a chance to do the proper challenge, so I just wanted to wipe all evidence of my stupidity from the record and not restore previous versions.
Looks like you've done that, so all good.
Thanks
Dave

Hi Dougie,
Could you please remove beverley laundry's entry for The Diamonds as she used the wrong log in details. Thank you.

Hi Joe,joe80 wrote: ↑November 2nd, 2021, 1:09 pmThe MAD team continue to dominate this CTC season with another win in the October challenge. Congratulations!
'The Diamonds' launched fifteen boats, more than double the flotilla of the next team.
Welcome 'Team Diamonds'. With three boats launched, that's a strong start.
RowPro Rowers did not float a boat last month and so cannot be awrded the February challenge. Forum Flyers and Rowing Club Mantova tied on 43 points. RCM get the nod because they have been waiting longer.
Challengers:
December - MAD
January - Free Spirits
February - Rowing Club Mantova

Joe
It looks like our points for October somehow didn't get recorded here. U Chicago Crew fielded a full team, came in 30th and should have come up with 47 pts. Did I make a mistake?
Thanks for running and coordinating this event!
Best,
Albert
Re: Cross Team Challenge - Discussion Thread
Hi Albert,
Thanks for pointing this out and apologies for missing your result.
Something very odd has happened to the results during the past few days. For instance, the number of completed boats has increased from 72 to 76. This means that all the points awarded are incorrect. I've gone through the boats listed now compared to Nov 3. As well as your missing crew, Free Spirits, Team Oarsome and FIRT have an extra boat, making up the deficit of four. I can't explain this. It's very unlikely that I misread the points as they are written alongside the teams on the leaderboard. Once, maybe, but all the way down, no.
Anyway, I'll rework the chart and produce a corrected version in a little while.
Regards,
Joe

Re: Cross Team Challenge - Discussion Thread
Incidentally, having completed three consecutive challenges as a new team, U Chicago Crew can now claim a challenge month. Let me know if you would like this.

Re: Cross Team Challenge - Discussion Thread
Thanks for fixing this, Joe, and we would love to claim a challenge month! Just let me know what to do/when our challenge month is and I'll confer with rest of the team on a suitable workout (within the guidelines, ofc).
Also, I wonder if the late change in points had anything to do with time zones. We are in the US and at least one of our team entered their info on the last day of the challenge, so it may have been slow to update. Not sure.
Best,
Albert

Rules are at the first post in this thread. viewtopic.php?p=364236#p364236
You need to let me know about five days before your month what you've chosen.
Re: Cross Team Challenge - Discussion Thread
Hi Albert,
The first available month for a challenge is March 2022. It's yours and you have plenty of time to think up something imaginative, excruciating or both.
I can't think of anything to add to Citroen's excellent summary shown in the previous post.

Joe

Re: Cross Team Challenge - Discussion Thread
For the CTC we should probably think about having 2 to 3 people trusted enough to manage the database, just so we have some continuity for times when Dougie isn't available. Something to discuss when he's back.

You'll need to speak to Daren Chandisingh (I usually use @wwwicked on Twitter for that), he owns the CTC. I can quite easily share the PHPMyadmin userid/password for c2ctc.com with you.
