Great!!
Have you really trained for the 100 or was it just a spontaneous "I'll give it a go"?

Congrats DutchDutch wrote: ↑November 2nd, 2021, 3:31 pmPb today with 36 meters more than previous in a 30 min tt. Discipline was all over the place, my ego wanted 7500m and I blasted off but after 15 mins my mind blew apart and I literally just eased up then carried on 10 secs later and did this 3 times. In the end I decided to steal a few meters more which is exactly what I should have done in the first place. I prob would have had an extra 75 meters or so if I had stayed at even pace, lol.
But I know now for next time how to pace it. Better to steal a little than die trying to grab a load

Well done AL. 18" is (obviously) nearly a split faster, so is a big deal. Nice negative split too. Plenty more to come.Autoland wrote: ↑November 2nd, 2021, 4:23 pmOn Friday of last week, I flew by my 60' PB by 198m. Sunday was a casual 6589m at Row House SOMD. Haha. Very well done on the pb, but I've seen better pacing! I completely agree that a more conservative plan would see you faster, and perhaps close to 7500 already.Dutch wrote: ↑November 2nd, 2021, 3:31 pmPb today with 36 meters more than previous in a 30 min tt. Nice work. The pace is obviously outstanding, but just getting to 54 spm takes some doing.

Thank you all for your comments and encouragement.
And congrats Dutch and btlifter on the PBs. I'm having a hard time imagining 1:07.1/500.

Wow! I cant wrap my head around these sort of sprints - I am still a better sprinter than distance person but I don't have that super low pull power. I rely on holding decently fast splits to get results. Even when I was a little stronger I still didn't have that explosiveness. I also start seeing worse results when DF is that high. Anyway, this about you and you crushed it!!!

Thanks everybody!
Martin: No 'sprint training' to speak of. But, I lift heavy weights and do a fair bit of quick intervals. So, I imagine that I'm pretty well trained for it, anyway.
Paul: yeah, I aways have my partner standing on the front + a sandbag on the back if I'm trying to sprint. Not sure what my LP was. It all happened too quickly to notice, haha

Cheers, Keith. I'm sorta similar. The 1k is my sweetspot; I have a fair bit of strength, but am not as quick/explosive as the absolute best over the true "sprint" distances. Fortunately, my conditioning is more developed than most "sprinters".
