Hi all!

My name is Marios and I live in Greece. I recently bought my concept 2 and I joined your team! I don't have any past experience with rowing so my pace, technique and time are awful but I put a smile on my face and start rowing again :)
Welcome!
Enjoy the row, and the scenery.

Welcome Marios. And Kona, that is absolutely beautiful... I'm jealous and would love to go for a hike there.

And, as you've noticed, I'm back once again. No idea how long I'll last this time, but I decided that after a few years of slowly gaining weight it was time to see if I could get back in shape again. Those first few sessions were tough, making it hard to get back onto the rower the next day. But I'm starting to get the hang of it again. I can tell that I'm improving, and ultimately that's the goal.
Welcome back, and good luck with the weight loss.

I trust all is well in Luna-tic land...No travelling for us in Australia at present as most of the country is in a lockdown. Can't even travel to the lake to get on the water. So I've dusted off the ERG...!

Otherwise, glorious days in thew Harbour City, days warming up under blue skies B) Cheers, Baz

Haha, the pub had a feeling about it expressed so well in the Eagle's Song, Hotel California..."You can check out any time you like, but you can never leave..." The pub is located in a small town situated on the Great Dividing Range on Australia's East Coast. And for those inclined, the beer is cold...! Cheers, Baz

The Fall Team Challenge is just around the virtual corner, and the real one on the calendar! When next in your logbook, take a moment to go over to the Teams section, and hit the "join" button. Last year we came in NINTH overall, with 100 Lunies in the Challenge boat. We were edged out of 8th by a mere 200K after compiling a whopping 16 million meters in the Challenge. As you know, our next Lunar Landing is scheduled to occur when the team hits 52 MM - and this could indeed occur during the Fall Team Challenge. Let's see what we can do this year!

Hi Kona,
Joined both your Team Challenge and Affiliation teams yesterday. Haven't posted before, so hope this finds you. Very impressed with your daily tally and encouraging remarks. It is no wonder you all have been such a great team over the years. Look forward to doing my bit, and glad I could join. All the best, Jeff.

Just getting back into rowing after recovery from hand surgery and Tropical Storm Ida decides to dump 8.5 inches of water into our basement apartment! We tried to stop it with every towel in the house as it came pouring in through the sides of the door, but they were no match against the force of the water pushing against the door as the drain couldn't handle the deluge. It was so strong that it even broke the door knob lock off of the door jamb! We tried to get everything up off the floor but it all happened so fast. We're working on cleanup now, and here's the kicker; homeowners insurance doesn't cover it because the water came in from the outside drain! And we don't live in a flood zone and don't have flood insurance, so why would we?
I'm hoping there isn't water damage to my rower. The water only reached the lower part of the chain and left a layer of dirt all over it after it receded. I rowed this morning and it seemed okay. I'm going to reoil the chain as soon as I can find the box that I put my oil in. :?
