What's wrong with a 130DF?

Nothing wrong there, keep at it.
Appears that I have struck a nerve about drag factor. I merely asked how the OP settled on 130. Nothing right or wrong about it, neither was any pre-judgement implied in my question.

If one doesn't want to answer the question, there is no obligation to do so.

This is a friendly forum. I would hate to see it degenerate to the point where ulterior, sinister motives are attributed to simple questions from any member.

I will withdraw from this subject so as not to disturb the peaceful good feelings of the participants.

My best wishes to all for success in their erging & other endeavors.

Mike India Charlie Tango 450, out.
Oh don't worry, I'm thick skinned. Here to learn!

I took the suggestion of 120-ish (midpoint of the range) from the c2 manual, and tried it. Found I liked a touch more so my machine slows down well enough that I don't catch a sloppy (low drag) stroke.

Under 110 felt a bit soft and over 140 like it would actually cause potential for injury (high drag exaggerating any inconsistent strokes).

I've rowed 5 days a week for the past month. I have no aches or pains. That tells me my form is good. From the start I have been very mindful of it!

Okay, I did what I think is steady state.

50mins, 10warm/cool. 40min row 8300m, 135HR. 22SPM.

That's my longest most consistent row, kept my SPM and HR within 1-2 points all the way. Really focused on my technique and rhythm.
