PM5 legs don't fit onto each other when assembling

Hi, just received PM5 and sadly, got stuck right at the step 1 of the assembly...

Am I doing something wrong or is in a bad piece?

The other leg goes on top of the rail first (that has the wheels on it).

The picture on the instructions show the legs as you have them, but the legs were recently changed to long/short when the model was changed to just Rowerg, instead of Model D or E. Maybe you have to put the front one under the rear one now, as suggested above. If that fits and the screws go through, you’re set… it won’t matter as far as operation goes.

That is plainly not possible to do

I've tried to put the short leg on top of the long leg, that way the first part of assembly work, but then I got stuck on the second step :/

All the fasteners should be fitted but left loose or you will have problems at the other end connecting as well.

Get all the button head screws started and then finally torque them up tight. Pretty sure I also fitted stainless washers under the split washers but they are not provided.

The long leg goes to the front of the rower, I have seen it fitted the wrong way around before.

Its not rocket science but if its possible to assemble it wrong then people will stuff it up.

The instructions are wrong, the long leg goes on first.

I'd send C2 an e-mail with your picture attached and see what they say. If you just call it may be hard to explain exactly what the situation is, unless this is an issue that they're already quite familiar with.

Well lads, there’s center to center and there’s edge distance to center. OP got all four bolts started with the flange of the long leg stood off from flange of short leg. He could prolly grind off the interfering edge to produce alignment and send the bolts home but pestering C2 about the fabrication QC that produces this assembly headscratcher is a better one.

The legs are Aluminum, they flex like mad to get the correct alignment at the other end. You don't expect C2 to be able to create a bend over that short length at the perfect angle to align with all the holes in the frame.

You don't need to grind anything off, just swap the legs over from top to bottom.

Heaven help those that ever need to pull the flywheel apart.

Thanks everybody for trying to help!

I've switched the legs to "long at the bottom, short on top" and I'm able to attach them to the part with wheels this way

But now, I'm unable to attach it to the base :/

I've contacted to local distributor and i'm solving it with them, will post updates here

Case it dont work out with C2, these hear bolts iz the berries in a tight corner.

Whatever you do, dont pull the holes or you surely will be askin Carl if he got sum a them fender washers left over from his last engineering triumph.
