Is the concept2 SkiErg more about strength or stamina?
For you, Is the concept2 SkiErg more about strength or is it more about stamina?
Re: Is the concept2 SkiErg more about strength or stamina?
Ergometers measure power by definition, and delivering power leads to stamina (aka endurance).
In particular, C2 ergometers have flywheels, so the load is inertial. This means that the harder we pull, the higher the resistance (according to Sir Isaac); so you can in theory use it as you like. However it's unlikely that spinning a flywheel will ever be anything like lifting 200kg over your head.

I don't have a SkiErg, but I do have a Model C rower, and I think that the answer for each is similar: to do well you need both strength and stamina.
I'd guess that the ratio of one to the other is in the ballpark of 50:50, and no more than 60:40 or 40:60.

It's almost a catch 22 scenario. You have to have a certain amount of strength to generate enough watts to "go fast" and then you need stamina to be able generate those watts for any amount of time.hundalharman01 wrote: ↑June 23rd, 2021, 6:05 amFor you, Is the concept2 SkiErg more about strength or is it more about stamina?
