Locked up
Locked up
My hubs was riding this morning and the pedals started to feel like they were catching, then they locked up. It is belt-driven - which makes this an unusual problem. I can't find any information on the web page. Anyone care to help me troubleshoot?

If you can't fathom it from that you'll need to contact Concept2.com (or your local dealer).

Re: Locked up
After removing the bottom of the bike, we found the belt had slipped and shredded inside.
We cut out the strips and released the problem. We lost about an eighth to a quarter of an inch of the belt.
I can't figure out how to add a picture to the post.

Re: Locked up
You can upload to imgur.com and then post a link here. You'll also probably need a new belt. A frayed and chewed up belt is no good.

Re: Locked up
Write to info@concept2.com they need to know about this failure to determine if it's a once-off with your BikeErg or a wider production problem.
Re: Locked up
Will do - I haven't seen other posts about this - could be a new issue with the belt after several thousands of meters.Write to info@concept2.com they need to know about this failure to determine if it's a once-off with your BikeErg or a wider production problem.
Thanks!
