Re: ErgRace Online?
Its E-Row on your mobile phone even the graphics are the same with little yellow boats on a blue background so no but its free.
Very disappointing really the lack of collaboration between Digital Rowing (RowPro) and Concept 2 for a single integrated product.
RowPro should have been on your Mobile years ago, its still listed as "Coming". I'm sure with enough support it would have already been here. You have always been able to run RowPro in "2D", guess what its little yellow boats on a blue background. It feels that people are reinventing the wheel when it comes to rowing software.
All these multiple options do is splinter the few that do row online, its a real shame that no one platform dominates like Zwift does for cycling and all we gets is to many options for the rowing and numerous people working on different projects so in the end none of them become a real success.
I just don't get it. I used E-Row and now RowPro for the last 12 years and everything is still 10 years behind where it should be compared to what those on the bikes are using right now. I tried Zwift on a mates bike a few weeks ago, it blew me off the seat in terms of the graphics and the thousands of people online night and day. I'm talking thousands of users at any one time, sometimes up to 40,000 users for events, it just blows the Rowing out of the water, I cannot even get the 16 lanes full for online rows.

Re: ErgRace Online?
It will be very interesting to see the uptake on this software.
Basically I told Digital Rowing to release a RowPro "Lite" version on Android some 6 years ago now as an online rowing only option. As soon as Sony started using Android on the TV 6 years ago, the future was obvious, it was a total no brainer.
Your phone will become the new PM6 in full HD colour with audio, it can replace everything now by just running an App.
I notice some of the bikes like the WattBike ATOM X have already gone to what is essentially an Android tablet as a monitor.
It seems to me like Concept 2 do not want to make the move to replacing the monitor with a phone due to the loss of revenue selling the hardware. Overall it would be great though for the total number of users when the price of the new rower drops about 20%.
Sadly it would put me out of business repairing the monitors here in NZ, but I'm prepared to take a hit on that for a stronger online rowing community.

Re: ErgRace Online?
I got my Concept2 recently. I never tried rowing before. The only reason I bought a rowing machine is the integration with Virtual Reality and other software + I don’t like cycling.
So far I bought/ tried: RowPro, EXR, Holofit VR
Opinion:
Rowpro: not working at the moment as when I plug in my 20m long cable to connect PC to rower there is an issue. I think the adapter I use is rubbish. So the issue is the lack of Android!
EXR: Android so works well on my tablet. Like it, but rowing machine -> Logbook is a little bit off so I get 1998m or 2004m in the logbook instead of 2000m. Looking forward to the updates.
Holofit VR (Oculus Quest 2): Great for fun and races! I can race online and against the computer. It is not for training.
I mainly use ErgData and Ergzone as I do strict intervals, and want those to show up in the Logbook properly.
I also noticed that I don’t really look at the display of the tablet that much. It is just 10” and EXR - Rowpro looks too small to be immersive. So it is either VR (full immersion) or just ErgData for me. I should by a large TV for my exercise room I now
Based on this, the ErgRace Online looks great! I like that it is simple. Easy to see where you at.
The other interesting thing is the Conqueror Challenges. Any type of exercise. I have signed up for a 42km challenge (there are ones from 33km up to 6000km, timeframe is set by you but up to 18months) for $33 each. I sync my logbook with it through Garmin Connect (ErgData > Logbook > Garmin Connect > Conqueror). Once I finish they post me my medal. Great motivation. This will be my first medal in my life!

That's what I'm kind of curious about.. I tried doing a search to see what the status is of a future PM6 but can't find much.. regular PM just isn't modern enough for tracking / stats that I like connecting when doing my HIIT, Runs, Weights, Rowing.

Re: ErgRace Online?
ErgData and RowPro should be a single App. Perhaps that's what's coming in the future, basically ErgRace IS RowPro in 2D mode.rowyaboat wrote: ↑May 24th, 2021, 5:25 pmCarl Watts wrote: ↑May 22nd, 2021, 3:28 pmYour phone will become the new PM6 in full HD colour with audio, it can replace everything now by just running an App.

Yes it needs to be Android and iOS as soon as possible, its way overdue by years.

Re: ErgRace Online?
On a positive note there has been an awful lot of testing going on over the last few months so perhaps the online version is coming soon on Android and iOS.
