:D I am a pessimist by nature.....glass half empty....so I tend to see things from that side of the tracks.

Seems to be the 3rd bit of any TT is a git.....3rd 500 of 2km = git, 3-4km of a 5km = git etc etc :)

I am happy really :D
Tbh mate, I'm optimistic to a fault, but I always see where I could have improved. It's a good trait to have, as it creates restless satisfaction.

The circa 65-80% of any hard session is a tough place: far enough to really be leaving a mark, but not close enough to feel it's almost done.

1k TT PB by 2s.....stung like hell during the 3rd 250 :( B) ......I had targeted sub 3:15 so the final time is OK but my plan to go 1:36, 1:37, 1:38, 1:36 didn't quite work out.

3:14.3 1,000m 1:37.1 33
0:47.7 250m 1:35.3 34
0:48.5 500m 1:37.0 33

0:48.2 1,000m 1:36.3 36

Just a stepping stone on the journey B) :D
Can’t see any real flaws, 1k hurt like mad, if you do it for real. Also nicely in line with you 500 and 2k. Maybe the rating is a tad low, but you are pretty tall so this could be right for you. Congrats!

RE Timetrials in general, I always use the rule of thumb, “once you have reached 70% of the distance, you have it!” If you are on pace at that point you will bring it home, even if you suffering and have to slow a bit, you will finish on point.

Nice one Alex! Great score and you fought the mental battle and broke 3:15 - a big improvement too which isn't shocking with the training you have done. Your SPM wasn't super high either, so stroke must be stronger.

Very good Alex,

Kept the demons from a bit of an F&D at bay, and sub-3:15 is a great result.

Only problem: the next milestone is >4s away!

After the 2km my 5km was looking soft so attacked that today. Target i was aiming at was 1.48. Died a death in the last 2km. I have a feeling its going to start getting very hard indeed from here.

100m PB 13.6 (-0.2)

not the PB I wanted, su 1:20 500m was the plan, but since yesterday I have a little cough and problems breathing through the nose, so 500m were no option.
Back and legs felt very fresh, so decided to try the 100m.
In fact it were 2 PBs, Lowpull of 1:04 is 1 split faster too 😁
Hopefully I can try the 500 tomorrow or Sunday.

Re pb, maybe also start tracking watt pb numbers. At this pace the jump per 1 second is so big looking at watts may be needed.

Thanks Henry :) I'm confident for the 500, but I'm pretty sure it will not feel like a paddle
I don't want to do more than one all out 100 per season because of injury risk and I doubt there's much more to come as strength is already close to all-time-best. The real goals are sub 1:20 and 400m 1' during the next 2 strength meso cycles :)
