Still very much newbie gains but i'll take it. Another 2km PB on the skierg. Wanted 1.42 today. Did 500 repeats earlier in the week to dial in the pace and this felt ok. PB by 8 seconds.

LOL, my sitz bones are still sore but overall I recovered much quicker this time.
Do you (or many others) use a little pad on the seat or do you go with the standard set-up? I have seen people with little pads but I have never tried one...
I’ve never used one, but then I’ve never done 100k on the rower.

Great work! That sounds fast! Nice work. How would you compare it to the rower? That pace seems sooo fast to me either way!
Pace depends much more on upperbody strenght. Most people are faster on the rower, but not all. Some are even faster on the skierg.

Ian, think that sub 6.30 is a doable this season, maybe even more. Rating very low.
Well i'll keep chipping away. 6.30 seems like a distant dream right now but if i can spend the next few months working on bringing that rate up then thats only going to do me good

Maybe, but you just started, the early gains should get you going. And ofcourse how much time you can put in. Balancing between rowing and skiing is an extra factor.

I'll definitely keep at it - but the you're right about the balancing part. At the moment it seems to be keeping me quite fresh but for peak performance i guess something will need to give.

After the 2km my 5km was looking soft so attacked that today. Target i was aiming at was 1.48. Died a death in the last 2km. I have a feeling its going to start getting very hard indeed from here.

Hahaha, love it. You beat your target time, and set a big PB, but you still see the faults in getting there!

All I see is a refusal to lose and a great final 250 after a painful third 250

:D I am a pessimist by nature.....glass half empty....so I tend to see things from that side of the tracks.

Seems to be the 3rd bit of any TT is a git.....3rd 500 of 2km = git, 3-4km of a 5km = git etc etc :)

I am happy really :D
