100m PB - 13.8 (-0.2'')
Big PB for me today, managed to go sub 14!
It was also a LP PB at 1:05
After yesterday's sprint prep I've planned something easier today, but legs felt surprisingly good. Wasn't 100% sure if legs are fit enough for the 1', so I tried a fastish 100 and decided to go for 100m. Felt incredibly powerful, weight training pays big dividends atm.
Great confidence boost for the coming 1', maybe tomorrow if I feel ready

Wow. That's two massive PBs, very strong results
Thanks Stu, this will always be my strongest distance

Nice, now you see where your strongpoints are. This suits your body so much more, compare this with the amount of time you put in distance work and the results it gave. It would surprice me if even your 2k will improve with this kind of training. Offcourse keeping your fitness alive.
I would say my strongpoints were always clear
I know what you mean, but I still think all the distance work was worth the effort, and it will help on the sprint distances too, never felt as fit as now. In the middle/long run I can hopefully get my strength up a good bit while maintaining fitness and then reduce strength work to just hold the level and get fitness up again.

...bit of longer base building today and I just happened to smash my HM PB in the process

Not done a HM for a while so this hurt quite a bit but pleased to sneak under 1:57 avg.
Might even be worth an

Very powerful stuff there - what DF did you use?

Thanks Paul!
DF was around 350, this gets me ca. 0.2'' faster than DF 200
Impressive - Rating at 56 on that DF takes a massive amount of power - I do a lot of my training on 300+ DF but am only strong enough to get to 22-24 spm max!!!

1' PB - 392m (+5m)
Wasn't sure if I should give it a go today, good I did
This effort felt amazing, followed Henry's advice to go by feel and was very surprised to see 1:14 average around 200m in. Faded at the end, but still 1:22 last pull,so propably a bit left
Super happy with the result

Blimey, this is so strong Martin!! Really deserved too, as from what I can remember you got injured last time you wanted to go on a PB streak? For my untrained eye, you should be able to go sub 1:20 500 quite comfortably? I can't imagine the work that lies behind this

Yeah, in summer I had to train without real weights, the plyo work killed my lower back, this time everything feels very good so far, and hopefully there's a good bit more to gain

Yes Martin!!!!! I wasn't on computer yesterday so just saw this and your 100M - truly amazing stuff. I mean seriously impressive power. My last 1' PB I never even hit 1:16 let alone have that be an average, mind-blowing. You will crush the 500M and go below sub 1:20 for sure. I may do the 500M today to see if I can PB but it won't come close to what you will do.
