If he manages to use his legs at all he stands a good chance of beating the record. Phenomenal upper body strength

Mwa, don’t know, ofcourse he is superstrong, but good chance?, given his feel for the motion, more or less the worse you can have, don’t see that hapening. Also they Talk about Shaw and Wr which is not true.Dangerscouse wrote: ↑March 5th, 2021, 5:02 amIf he manages to use his legs at all he stands a good chance of beating the record. Wow, that's propably the most terrible form I've ever seen! He would be much faster if he simply keep his legs straight and uses only his back and arms

That was actually hilariously bad. Obviously he would be elite with improved form, but I think his relatively short height (6"1') would limit him a bit.

Re: World strongman tries the concept
was thinking the same. Its the worlds strong man, you would think he has some feel for using his body. But for this, this is bizarre. And the tips did not help him one bit.

That's what I noticed. The seat was actually moving forward while he was pulling the handle! Imagine if he just kept his legs straight and used only his back and arms. Crazy strong.MartinSH4321 wrote: ↑March 5th, 2021, 9:08 am

Re: World strongman tries the concept
I watched the video (with sound off) and couldn't tell - how far was his longest piece? Did he even make it to 500m?
I bet if he rowed a 2k his form might improve a bit as he tired out (which I assume wouldn't take long) because there might not be quite as much flailing about.

The man is the current Strongman of the world, so the best of the best. Elite genetics, but not a natural rower.
Do we ever ask a marathon man to Shotput
I think with a few days coaching he would come closer to six than 7 min, and over 500 m he would pull sub 1.15
