FWIW, there's about 200m difference between my r20 and free rate 30 mins PBs, and that seems to be fairly common, albeit it's only a very rough guide.
Really impressive how you battled through that last 10 minutes. The urge to HD must have been huge.

327 meter difference here, although my free rate is 4 months newer(Aug 20) than my 30r20(Apr 20). Re: New Personal Best! Brag About That New Pb!
Cheers Max. I’ve never followed anything structured really. I’ve just been mixing it up a bit since the start of the year doing rowing and then running next time. With rest days in the middle, so probably an equal amount of both. I throw in the odd weights session but it’s hard with the gyms closed and limited equipment and motivation at home! I enjoy getting out on the road bike too but probably been out twice all wintermax_ratcliffe wrote: ↑March 5th, 2021, 3:53 amVery good Dave,Dave_G1986 wrote: ↑March 2nd, 2021, 11:26 amFailed to beat my 2km PB last time I tried a couple of weeks ago, almost HD that day, limping home about 10 seconds off a PB. Fly and just-hold-on-and-avoid-dying. Had a real wobble between 600m-500m to go when I'm sure I pulled about 50 strokes (the erging equivalent of those movie scenes where You. Just. Cannot. Get. To the door at the end of the corridor).
Very slow 1k cool down afterwards to get over 10k for the day.

Great stuff Max. A massive wobble at halfway, and still ramping it up for the last 200m is really good going.max_ratcliffe wrote: ↑March 8th, 2021, 7:29 amSkiErg:
