I have an C2 B with the wood footpads. It has a strap that goes over each foot to keep the balls of your feet in place as you row.
Has anyone made adaptions such as a cross-country ski binding or bike clips, so they can clip in while rowing?
I do see that many go strapless and I will try that, but I wanted to know if anyone has done some king of a clip-in option. The closest I've seen is people talking about zip-tying their rowing shoes to the boards.
Anyone make modifications to clip into rower?

Easier on all the Concept 2 rowers to leave your shoes on the rower and just slip in and out.
Don't use anything with laces, mine are just elastic it takes a literally a few seconds to slip in or out its faster than bike clips.

Took the cycle industry a while to sort out knee problems related to bike clips and how much rotation/float they allowed.tmaclaren wrote: ↑March 2nd, 2021, 12:33 pmI have an C2 B with the wood footpads. It has a strap that goes over each foot to keep the balls of your feet in place as you row.

C2 foot stretchers have a lot of left/right movement. The holes the height adjust pegs fit into are large enough to allow it. Given how good the tolerances are on everything else, this has to be a design feature.
If you go with a home-brew adaptions such as a cross-country ski binding or bike clips suggest you focus on whether you have the same degrees of freedom you had with the original system. Could be a fun project. Good luck.
