Next thing to try is a new set of batteries or wire it to a cell phone wall wart with a USB-A to USB-B printer cable (which will power it even if the batteries are going soft).

If that doesn't resolve it then you need to write an email to rowing@concept2.com as your problem is either a hardware fault or a new (as yet undiscovered) firmware bug. On a new enough machine it may be a warranty replacement.

thanks,

i did my homework, fresh batteries (the rower is new, 6 months) power by USB, updated FW to latest version (Beta included) same issue.

On my rower it look pretty repetitive...

on my PM5 I'm using the "workout of the day" with 1 minute instead of 2

*****
Short
4 x 750m / 1 min easy
Row four 750 meter pieces. Row for one minute at light pressure between each 750.

Button Sequences
PM5: B-D-D-A-B-B-A-B-B-B-B-B-A-A-A-B-E
****

it works well until the second pause, than the PM5 stops.
Not really freezed (heartbit running) but no way to proceed (quite annoying).

I can live without that.. the default in 500m/1:00min works well.

Very strange. Does it always freeze after second interval, does it freeze during other interval workouts (i.e different rest time/length etc).
Since you're still under warranty, contacting C2 might be a good idea indeed.

Were you using rerow ?

If you use "REROW" for the workout then you get exactly the number of intervals you previously rowed. For example on day you set up to row 500M with two mins rest and do 4 intervals. You could have done any number, but you stopped at 4. The next day you select workout by rerow and select this workout expecting to be able to do 6 reps of 500M w 2 rest -- you will instead stop at 4 intervals even though you try to keep rowing. Kind of strange, but it works this way.
