Thanks for the reply Stu. Before I lowered my feet my Av Drive length was 1.25, now my feet are lower I find it easier to return handle as close as I can.
I find at the end of the drive the handle does hit into my gut which makes me think I should possibly hold handle higher. How can i strengthen my core muscles
Ideally you want to do Pilates exercises e.g. plank variations (standard, reverse, side, 'threading the needle' etc), dead bugs, 'scissors', 'hundreds', dart. Also press ups, squats, lunges, side lunges, curtsey squats are really important as your core muscles include your glutes and a whole host of smaller muscle groups. Yoga can also be beneficial too, but that is more of an emphasis on stretch that strength.
Where I do Pilates, when it's not lockdown, has recently got a website of some Pilates classes on demand, along with quite a lot of yoga classes. If you're interested it's
www.planetyogaliverpool.com and it's the On Demand option. It's £10 a month, with the first week free, and the classes are about 40 minutes long. Hayley is my Pilates teacher and she usually does dynamic Pilates in a 30c heated room for 60 minutes: it's very intense, but an amazing workout.
