Amazing time and power!! I feel so bad about the connection issue.btlifter wrote: ↑February 6th, 2021, 9:37 pmAs a couple of you know, I was entering the 500m at Canadian Nationals today.
I had 2 goals:
1. win
2. establish a legitimate 500m pb.
Unfortunately, the internet gods had other ideas and I was removed from the race due to connection issues. I rowed it anyway to at least check off #2. Reasonably happy with my result (1:14.6), particularly the relative lack of fade. If anybody has a minute they want to kill here is the video (begins the moment I start)

Re: New Personal Best! Brag About That New Pb!
I don't know why, but I had an urge to do an FM. I expected a 2:48 result, at best, given my recent sessions, a bad night's sleep, and a 4/10 HRV. Some days just don't follow the rule book, and I think this is a 1 minute 42 second PB.
Annoyingly I didn't have any wobbles, so I could have gone faster. I really expected it to get messy with circa 7k to go, but it just didn't happen. I didn't even want to stop, and a 2:43 is in my sights with some more normal preparation.
Very happy with this, but that won't last for long. I have far too restless satisfaction, and I'm trying to grab what I can whilst I'm still improving.
