So. I have said there are no coincidences, and then there are those things that validate this thought....Gronks posted this last evening. A couple of hours ago, my phone blinged with Dictionary.com's word of the day...

Spring fever !!

We've all had to restrict our social interactions and travel in this past year. No news there. Winter, depending upon where you are in the Lunaverse, offers different opportunities for some additional sports and activities. Still, I want to see some warm days and some things growing that aren't in petri dishes. I will admit that the great horned tomato worms aren't on the list of things I want to see growing either.

Many, MANY teammates have contributed a ton of meters over the last couple of months...first the Fall Challenge, then reindeer, and then in support of our team efforts in this Challenge. Maybe things that kept us all indoors made that possible. I found myself having to choose more meters or dog walks....and I chose more dog walks for this Challenge. The Concept2 Challenge Universe is different this year, too - where we once were at a top five, bigger teams make it harder for us to do that - even with extreme contributions by some of our teammates. The individual component of the Challenges allows for everyone to do their own thing while supporting the team efforts. I am hoping that you were able to meet the goals you each set for yourself. We celebrate everyone's accomplishments here, and that often makes for what seems like just a long list of bigger and bigger numbers. I do try to emphasize that erging is a tool - a tool that we use in order to do other things, and keep ourselves cardio healthy enough to do MANY things. Looking forward to seeing some POSTS by OTHERS that say what you're working towards...maybe it's a grand adventure...maybe it's a more mindful type of balance. All of those things are important.

Congratulations on your number ONE finish (in the entire galaxy) in the individual segment of the Challenge, Zach. The information wasn't available to any of us yesterday to see where the numbers would fall. You biked at least six 100K sessions in the last few days - maintaining a very steady pace. 10 and 11 hours a day though...when did you even find time to sleep?!
