I bettered my 4k PB on May 13th.
Splits: 2:06.3 2:07.3 2:04.6 2:01.2 1:58.8 / 2:03.7 pace / 8:14.7
I wanted to go out at 2:05 but got flooded with lactate and had to ease off.
The trial seemed a bust, but the pace felt better after that and my finish was good.

Previous PB March 20th.

Well done on your PB, John!

Two PB's for me yesterday. Can't remember the last time I did that.

8:30am

6:04.3 / 4000 / 1:31.0 / 98

1:29.1 / 1000 / 100
1:31.5 / 2000 / 98
1:33.4 / 3000 / 96
1:30.4 / 4000 / 99

PB by 0.6 secs. Drag at 103. Top of the rankings for 40/49 and third overall.

5:30pm

32:54.6 / 20000 / 1:38.7 / 80

6:32.1 / 4000 / 1:38.0 / 81
6:36.8 / 8000 / 1:39.2 / 80
6:36.8 / 12000 / 1:39.2 / 80
6:38.1 / 16000 / 1:39.5 / 80
6:30.7 / 20000 / 1:37.6 / 81

New ranking distance so only put in a mid 1:43 paced moderate effort for this previously. This was flat out. Don't know drag but damper between 6 & 7, so probably 130-140. Top of the rankings overall and first sub 33 minutes!

Casey, wow that's very impressive, especially your 4k and being 3rd overall.
Do you feel your workouts on August 9th and 12th helped you prepare for the 4k?
Did you have a history of racing on the bicycle outdoors before training on the Bikeerg?
bikeerg 75 5'8" 155# - 18.5 - 51.9 - 568 - 1:52.7 - 8:03.8 - 20:13.1 - 14620 - 40:58.7 - 28855 - 1:23:48.0
rowerg 56-58 5'8.5" 143# - 1:39.6 - 3:35.6 - 7:24.0 - 18:57.4 - 22:49.9 - 7793 - 38:44.7 - 1:22:48.9 - 2:58:46.2

Thanks John.

They would've helped a bit, but I train quite consistently anyway.

I've been into endurance training for as long as I can remember. Outdoor cycling, indoor rowing, indoor skiing, running, etc etc. Not so much actual racing on the bike outdoors but plenty of group training rides, solo rides and big mile Sportive events, so I'm a fairly well conditioned cyclist.

Pleased to report a 30 minute PB from yesterday!

30:00 / 18473 / 1:37.4 / 82

6 minute splits:

3742 / 1:36.2 / 83
3714 / 1:36.9 / 82
3681 / 1:37.7 / 82
3641 / 1:38.8 / 81
3696 / 1:37.4 / 82

Drag 140. Old PB was 1:37.9/1000m which must've been two years old. Top of the 40-49 rankings and 3rd overall. Quite pleased with the result!

20k pb 42:32.6 / 2:07.6
100 drag factor / overall 70 rpm
4k splits: 2:09.9 2:08.6 2:08.7 2:07.5 2:03.2
The last 4k of 8:13.1 betters my pb from last May, which was kind of surprising.

Nice one TallErgs, that’s around 340W if I remember correctly? Impressive!

Dead on! 340 watts average. I started off at 327 watts and negative split down to 365 watts. My hands and face were going numb, and I hit a 187 heart rate by the end of the ride. Whoops!
