Congrats Paul on making it to 200k with 4 days still to go! :D and on the 1mm since Aug - good going and with 4 months still to go to end of the season.
I have been playing catch up after a slow start, and beating last years challenge total still a possibility. I shall keep plugging away!
As its a proper team challenge in Jan I am sure people will be up for it.

Everybody is doing great!
Just saw that Concept2 has increased their donation cap to $70,000 ... so our meters are still counting towards our charities!!
Many thanks to Concept2 for doing this, very admirable :)
Now I have even more incentive to get back on the rower the next couple days!!!

Hey All!

The next team challenge only a week and a bit away! January Revolutions: Jan 1 - Jan 31.

I've started a new job and won't be able to row as much as I did in the Fall Team Challenge.

Should I resign my spot (leave team 50+) to make way for someone able to contribute more meters?

Had a tight calf muscle the other day, so decided to take 3 days out so as not to risk doing anything serious to it - lots of icing, foam roller, etc.

Back on the rower for a 30 minute session this evening with 2 x 5 min harder pace in the middle, all good.

Means I'm not going to get the 200k for the Holiday challenge, but I have managed to get past 150k, so happy enough.

Well done to team rowers for all the metres done for holiday challenge.
I've had a lay off for nine weeks or so and now slowly coming back recovering some semblance of fitness.
Up for the virtual team challenge for January but my personal contribution will be modest, hopefully picking up a bit towards the tail end.
Welcome too to new members who have recently joined

Hi everyone! Congrats to everyone who made it through the Holiday Challenge.

Is the 50Plus team accepting new members? I'd appreciate the camaraderie of kids my own age. :)

I'm 51, got my BikeErg on November 1, and surprised myself by getting to the 200K mark for the Holiday Challenge. Nice!

I'm stoked for the January Revolutions and have signed up as an Individual--but think it would be more fun to have a team to cheer each other on. Thanks for the consideration!

How's everyone doing in the Virtual Team Challenge and the individual January Revolutions Challenge?

I threw some power 10s in about a week ago and ended up pushing it a little too hard ... tweaked my back and had to sit out a few days. The joy of being my 50s I guess :)

Trying to work in strength training, hiking, and fat biking as well without over doing it.

How do you all tell if you're on the verge of overtraining? By the time I recognize the problem, it's usually already too late

Hey.
Im doing the burn and its progressing nicely. 5400cals to date. 5k. 7.5k 10k 7.5k. 5k pyramid. Repeat. Overtraining is usuallyflagged by lethargy and fatigue for me. Sleep more. Eat better. Hydrate. I dont get over obsessive with performance and imnot uber competitive. Which can be pathway to injury. I find pilates helps. Bendybend.

Oh and im not18 any more. Memo to ego. :)
