Rogue Mat - experiences? - Amazon Basics version?
Does anyone have experience with the Rogue Rower mat https://www.roguefitness.com/vinyl-rower-mat ?
I did order it just now, but the $16+ shipping... I could cancel it...
What about the Amazon Basics mat? It's about the same price https://www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-Den ... 07BLF1FZC/

I have got a C2 mat, but there is no reason why any mat would be better than any other, so go for the cheapest one if you need one.

With my C2, I didn’t want to trip over, have UV floor discoloration from, and hassle with a mat when moving the machine, so instead opted to cut four 2”x3” squares of rubber sheet (Home Depot) and lightly glued them to the four contact points of the rower to preserve my floors. They don’t catch sweat though, if that’s the goal.

I am not sure if marketing is > than reality here, Rogue says of their mats:Dangerscouse wrote: ↑December 30th, 2020, 1:45 amI have got a C2 mat, but there is no reason why any mat would be better than any other, so go for the cheapest one if you need one.
“ industrial-strength vinyl mat protects vulnerable hardwood and laminate flooring from scuffs and moisture without permanently trapping dirt and debris in the process. A unique PVC vinyl material, combined with round rib corrugations, make the mat resistant to oils and easy to clean with simple soap and water. A non-slip, skid-resistant backing also ensures a stable foundation”
I have experienced lower quality mats for other exercise (non machine) falling apart in various ways...

Some good points especially the UV (I have engineered wood floors) I will have to ponder. I think it might be repositioned often enough to reduce that concern. Are you not concerned with having four squares of floor darker than the rest of the floor? I guess it is lesser of the two “evils”?StevenWayne wrote: ↑December 30th, 2020, 3:56 amWith my C2, I didn’t want to trip over, have UV floor discoloration from, and hassle with a mat when moving the machine, so instead opted to cut four 2”x3” squares of rubber sheet (Home Depot) and lightly glued them to the four contact points of the rower to preserve my floors. I suspect the floors will be replaced at some time with tile.. there are already dark areas from an electric fireplace etc. (It is being used in a living room)
For sweat I could place a towel under the machine.

I hear the type A mats from CDO* lay flat and don’t block UV.
