I'd love to see the video of the 2k effort, if you can link me to it :D
Sure, but it's not the full row though- video cut out part way through.

Like the others say, looks comfortable, but I can imagine it was anything other than that.

HM PB - 1:19:42 (-1'15'') :D

Season goal #2 accomplished, sub1:20 HM (second goal was 14'' 100m, so both longest and shortest goal :) )
This effort felt absolutely great, plan was to stay at 1:54 for about 1h and then see how I feel. I had no wobble and about 10k left I felt very sure to reach the goal.
Looking back I think I could have stayed at 1:53.5 and reached 1:19:30 but that's not important, I'm super happy with this effort.
If I find a good spot I'll propably try a first FM, but then it's time for the middle and shorter distances, this improved base should lead to many new PB's :D

Well done Martin, that's a big improvement on your former PB, and a big milestone to break. I agree with Jo Andre, this isn't a surprise, it was all about how much you would knock off, not if you would.

The HM is a really tough one to gauge, as at halfway things can feel great, but can also quickly fall apart, and if you don't commit early enough you then have a lot of metres to catch up on.

Sometimes knowing you could have done more is a very useful way of bolstering confidence when it's coupled with a PB. Obviously you want to maximise your performance, but the next time you try it in this instance, you have a small kernel of optimism knowing that your PB is probably beatable again. Otherwise you can be defeated before you even start thinking I gave it everything I had last time, I can't possibly beat it.

If I find a good spot I'll propably try a first FM, but then it's time for the middle and shorter distances, this improved base should lead to many new PB's :D

just fantastic work Martin! very well done indeed and excellent pacing. I'm really going to have to pull my finger out and work on these longer pieces.

Can anyone recommend a seat pad?
