The model B had the best fitted seat for me. Too bad they're no longer made.

Chicagoal, you wrote in your OP: “I’m not so worried about the computer as I haven't been logging workouts or doing any comparisons”, then got your D w PM5 and mentioned ErgData and rowing w DarkHorse.

I’ve had similar experience when I upgraded to PM5 and ErgData recently, plus linking to C2 Logbook. Super motivating, can’t imagine row life without data now (bought Polar H10, too).

From one Chicagoan to another, I’m glad you got your D. ☮️

Hi StevenWayne!

I just now saw your post and agree 100%. Those little 'carrots' the apps hold out make a big difference. I got so motivated that I did the Holiday Challenge, 100K between Thanksgiving and Christmas. I know that total (I actually did 120K) was not really a 'challenge' for many here, some did it in a week and I know some even hit a million K during that time. However I was pretty much a beginner at rowing (doing it properly anyway) at age 64, so not too shabby. I had to lay off rowing though as I did something to mess up my left rhomboid end of last year. I think too much 'jerk' at the catch either caused or exacerbated the problem. Getting back to rowing now but it's a bit of a slog.

Of course I don't have to tell a fellow Chicagoan what kind of winter we're having, how important it is to have exercise when we're stuck inside. Though of course we do have to get out to shovel the snow Hmmm...wonder if C2 could develop a 'ShovelErg' to keep those muscles in shape in the 'off season'?

What a great post, Al. Thanks for it. If you want to be training partners, HMU. Motivating (I’m a slow eager, though). ☮️
