20 MM Lunie Holiday Challenge meters !

The Lunie reindeer flew down the last stretch of the Holiday Challenge! So MANY teammates completed more meters than they had EVER thought about doing before! We have more strutting, ear wagging, flashing harnesses, antler lights and reindeer than we've ever had. Concept2 universe erged 4.3 BILLION meters. The Lunies erged 20 MM meters...and even in some of our biggest Fall Challenges, I'm not sure we ever erged that much in a month. What a spectacular effort! Whatever this Holiday brings to you - this is a GOOD memory to keep: doing more than you thought about doing is possible.

Choose Your Goal
Choose from one of the following goals. You can either row for time, Calories, or consistency. Choose carefully—you can change your goal up until the end of January 10 GMT, but after that, there's no changing it…

The Stretch Row, ski or ride a minimum of 500m on 20 days in January
The Big Stretch Row, ski or ride a minimum of 500m every day in January
The Haul Row, ski or ride for 15 hours in January
The Long Haul Row, ski or ride for 30 hours in January
The Burn Row, ski or ride 10,000 calories in January

Kick off the new year by joining a team (or creating your own) to participate in the Virtual Team Challenge! Each team rows, skis or rides as many meters as they can collectively for the month of January. Note: This is a team challenge. You must belong to a team to participate. This is not the same as your club affiliation in your profile. Note: You can certainly belong to the Lunie affiliation AND the Lunie Virtual Team concurrently. In fact, we encourage it.

When next in your logbook, scroll over to the heading that says Teams. Scroll down and you will see Virtual Team Challenge. You have to click on "join" to participate in the Lunie team challenge for January. We hope you'll do that enthusiastically!

There have been many January Virtual Team Challenges where we have offered up the opportunity for teammates to earn their canoe, their paddle, a sleeker kayak, and the coveted bathtub (yes, really). I'm going to move the canoes et al to the Fall Team Challenge this year, and see how that works out now that we have two Challenges in January.

Since we are participating in the January Virtual Team Challenge, it would be great to have the Lunies stay in the top ten of all the teams in the Universe. It will not be easy. Each year, more and more teams have entered the fray...and we have pushed ourselves to what we perceive as our limits. As noted with the amazing numbers of participants in the Holiday Challenge, there continues to be high interest and high meter output. Buckle up.
