Image Day 25 of 29...keep going!!!...16.6 MM Lunie Holiday Challenge meters !

Ah, the Winter Solstice. This year it's even more special with the once in 20 years conjunction of Saturn and Jupiter....producing a Solstice Star for your viewing. From Forbes:

What is the ‘Solstice Star?’

This refers to the “great conjunction” or “appulse” of Jupiter and Saturn, something that occurs every 20 years, but this year it’s very special. On the evening of Monday, December 21, 2020—the exact date of the December solstice—the two gas giants will align from our point of view on Earth and appear to be just 0.1º from each other.

That’s remarkably close and is something that hasn’t happened since the 17th century. The moment of closest conjunction is at 13:24 Universal Time.

Universal Time...well, there's a whole nother bunny trail. But the gist is: How do you convert UTC time to local time?
To convert 18:00 UTC (6:00 p.m.) into your local time, subtract 6 hours, to get 12 noon CST. During daylight saving (summer) time, you would only subtract 5 hours, so 18:00 UTC would convert to 1:00 p.m CDT. Note that the U.S. uses a 12-hour format with a.m. and p.m. Other countries use 24-hour time. Or your weather person will probably tell you the where to look and when because that's what they do. :D

Hey K2, in lieu of 600k bling and because I think it's going to take some higher octane fuel to get my reindeer to 700k for this challenge, could my reindeer please be renamed Blanton? :D

Yay! Finally got my reindeer! A week later this year than last year, but still with the support and encouragement of my husband who is recovering well from both open-heart surgery(8 weeks ago) to repair some faulty valves (which was discovered when he was doing the work up to have cryoablation to eradicate prostate cancer) and prostate cancer surgery 5 weeks later at the beginning of this month. I don't think I'll get as many meters in this year as last, but as everyone can attest to, it's been a tough year. Covid slowed me down in March, but I had a more mild case, so was able to push through it. I could go on with the woes of the year, but I'm sure everyone on the Luna-Tics has a story regarding this crazy year that could rival mine.
So needless to say I feel as though I've accomplished something big by being able to get in 100,000 meters for this Challenge. I haven't been able to get onto the forum as much as I'd like, but do check on you guys every now and then. So thanks Luna-Tics for being a good steady constant during a difficult year.
