Unable to use iPad for erg dataapplicatiom

I can upload my rowing records on the erg app but my logbook only shows on
the iPad screen for about 0.7 seconds.

Then the words holiday challenge and latest workout appear in top right of iPad screen,
the remaining screen is white. I can scroll down slightly but still the screen is white.

This seem to happen everytime there is a charity challenge.
When then charity challenge period finishes , things return to normal and I can edit ergdata logbook From the iPad.

The same thing happens in OSX Mac but if I hit telescope key everything return to normal.
