2k PB today! Yay!!
I entered the Dorset Indoor Rowing Championships this weekend. Yesterday was a 15min time trial from which everyone was placed in groups. I did 4,206 metres that got me in Group A.
Today you have to post a 2k time, verified as having been rowed today. I managed:
Time Meters Pace Watts Cal/Hr S/M
6:40.3 2,000m 1:40.0 349 1501 30 177
1:39.8 500m 1:39.8 352 1511 31 162

1:38.8 2,000m 1:38.8 363 1548 31 207
Your recent training has been excellent, so a cracking 2k was bound to follow. Very well done.

The last HR reading of 207 looks a bit high though!?

Thanks guys - like some others I can’t that multiple quote thing on here. Support and advice through here helped a lot.
It was Henry who said sometime ago that I looked like a 6:40 so that gave me the belief that it was achievable. It was then the small matter of 16 weeks of training six times a week.
Need another target now.

Hello ergo-people, I've not posted for a while but have been lurking a bit. The site logged me out and it took a while to get round to sorting a new login and as many will know I've only been playing at the rower last year or so to keep a bit of cardio when my focus has been on weights moreso.

Anway, I thought a couple of PBs done last Tuesday would be a good opportunity (at the risk of sounding like Rod ;) ) to post. I do hope to contribute a bit more in the coming months.

1. New 100m PB of 15.7s (-0.2s) at DF=170. Need to clean the machine as this is max drag. LP=1:15. First Pull = 1:53.
Image

2. Finally hit a "3 plate" deadlift (180kg) albeit with the hexbar. As you can see I'm using the high handles but this still counts as I'm standing on blocks so the effective midpoint of the bar is still the same as it would be for an Olympic barbell with 20kg standard diameter plates. This was at a body weight of 82kg.

Wow great work all around! Glad to see you posting again.

SRIC LM40 and a small 🚨PB🚨 by 0.5s. First ever race of any kind, I was extremely nervous and spent the morning on porcelain 🙄😁. I had tested all connections before but sods law a Windows update led to some unnecessary stress 🤬....had to go to my work laptop. It's fair to say I blew my lot early and paced this very badly. Somehow I managed to find something in the last 500m to squeek a tiny PB 😬. Glad I did this before BRIC just for the experience.

I think I took🥈but waiting for confirmation.

Hi everyone- Finally completed my first HM today, so by definition a new PB! My announced goal has always been to do a HM under 90 min, but my secret goal was to do it with a sub 2:00 pace.... and I was successful at that, so I’m pretty happy with the result. I targeted 203w the whole time and was pretty consistent. It really helped that I got some pads for the seat a couple weeks ago after some helpful comments from the forum, so thank you all!
