After trying and failing for my first HM last Friday, I took some rest and went for a one hour TT today. Was able to hit my target of 15k and beat my old PB by about 100m with 15,095m.

Here’s the final line
1:00:00.0 15,095m 1:59.2 206 1010 24

My strategy was to try and average around 200w, as my last PB at this distance was a 202w average overall. I changed rate every 5 min from 20-26 and the last 10 min I really just let it go 28+ and I think I averaged around 230w. My PB 10k is 217w average, so I feel like I should be able to get closer to that at this distance... next time!

Well done on breaking 15k. Get used to this sort of distance, and then try again for the HM. The mind games can too strong otherwise.

Awesome job. I always think it is nice to beat certain round numbers, like the 15 km in an hour.

25s is a big improvement. Hopefully we'll see you knock a lot more off this in the months to come.

Nice work CP. I'm nearly two years into this strange sport of ours, and I've not got over that 15k line... yet. Perhaps the roundest of all the round numbers to hit. Well done.

Not too shabby. Nice negative split too. Intrigued to know what your college training was like - ten sessions a week, "body is a temple" sort of rower, or training as and when studies and socialising allowed?
