Welcome to the world of indoor rowing. If you are new to the Concept 2, a resource I can't plug enough are the rowing work out videos on the Youtube at "Dark Horse Rowing" by Shane Farmer. He has excellent workouts from beginner to advanced. You erg along with him as he gives coaching tips to keep form, stroke, and pressure.Having the right form makes all the difference in the world on this machine. Honestly, erging to those work outs has me erging harder than I have in many years. My split times are drifting down and without trying I've lost 10 pounds to boot with no change in diet.

Awesome, Zach !!! I also enjoy seeing the graphs of your accomplishments. It's always an incentive for everyone else. I suppose there are some 40 year olds who might not be looking forward to you coming.

Yes, but I have to rest a bit! I started the ride wanting to just shave eight seconds off of my time.
Four more seconds to capture the #1 spot are going to be rough. My face and hands went numb on the last ride!

When's your ageing-up birthday, Zach? I'm feeling quite sick to my stomach, from simply trying to imagine your splits! I love the graphs ... vicarious pleasure for the entire team.

Seriously good work, man. For me anyway, with heart rates that high my hands go numb first, then arms, then tightness in the shoulders and neck, then tunnel vision, then pass out. Keep pushing but know your limits, be mindful, keep an eye on that heart rate, and be safe. If you're going to push the limits, have someone standing by in case anything goes wrong.
