Hi,<br /><br />I wonder if you could help me. I'm looking for training models based on working towards a boat race or heads race (+- 5kms in distance)....<br /><br />cheers<br /><br />Grant

During head session my club followed the following training programmme.<br /><br />Monday - genral fitness cirits (sit ups, press ups, short erg pieces (500 metersish) light weights)<br />tuesday - 3 x 7 minutes ergs<br />wednesday - water outing<br />thursday - 30 minute erg, heavy weights <br />friday and saturday off <br />sunday - water outing <br /><br />in addishion to this many club memebers privately meant on 2-3 mile run onced a week and fitness cirits every few days. <br /><br />And every 4 weeks we did a 2k test to asses fitness.<br /><br />Thge average length of the heads we entered was 5k.<br /><br />from febuary onwards we started to prepare for regatta sesson where we did <br />10 X 1 minute ergs <br />3 x 7 minuters ergs <br />Genral fitness <br />heavy weights <br />two water session a week <br /><br />form about 6 weeks ago all our training takes place on the river.<br /> <br />
