That was a very motivating post! Planning to join the 100k club in my first challenge and my first month with the rower :)

Finally figured out that training in my zone 2 heart rate is more sustainable for me, so that helped a lot too :)

Love the bucket comment -- clearly this is not an issue for the 20-something teams!
If they dont have a bucket by their side they're not trying hard enough!!!

Hi All

I think i may have been one of the first few to sign up for the team and not a lot was happening which is not unusual for a new team i guess.

Have been posting on Sub7 as the team i used to row for (and still do on CtC challenges http://c2ctc.com/) if anyone's interested perhaps we could float a boat or two on there?

Also the next C2 challenge is the skeleton crew from the 25th Oct - 31st Oct https://log.concept2.com/challenges/ske ... 1588265983

Well done Avii :)
The challenge has certainly pushed my volume up. Last day today and I need to get 14k in to hit a nice round number :)

We are way over 200k average per person in the team which is an amazing effort by all.

Hey Team 50+!

Well done to everyone! A super team effort and a great way (for me anyway) to increase rowing mileage. Thanks to Miles for putting this team together. And thanks to the team for your endurance and upbeat posts.

Stay strong Team 50+

David

Its done... just added my final meters.
I am sure we will go over 8 million... only ~23k off it at the moment.

8 million meters in 31 days. That means as a team we have rowed over 10k for every hour of the challenge!
We are still in second place on meters rowed in the 21-50 team size but its very close. On average though we are easily 2nd.
We have also beaten Team Oarsome who had exactly the same number of participants as us ;)

Looking forward to what the final totals and positions will be when the deadline for meters being entered ends on the 18th.
Fantastic rowing by everyone involved and also thanks to Miles for creating the team :D

+ one echoing all the positive posts above, been good fun.

Maybe a couple of days off ( rest those knees Dino) and back training for fun and the next challenge cos we've set the bar high for the next one

A great outcome and a worthy challenge. I am amazed that I put in 200k, but clearly the training is paying off.

Let’s go after the next one and keep proving that life really does begin at 50!
