Model D PM3 lifetime meters 79

Post by Kiley1978 » October 13th, 2020, 5:58 pm

So I just got a model d used for a steal of a price with a pm3. When I checked the lifetime meters it said 79 and the year for the firmware says 2003. I know a firmware upgrade could cause the lifetime meters to be reset but since the firmware year says 2003, can it legitimately have only 79 meters on it??

What's the firmware version?
2003 is likely the hardware date.

Update it to V108, that's the last firmware update that was made for that version of PM3 back in 2012.

It will likely zero the lifetime meters.

The ODO is unreliable on those monitors, unless you do a set distance or a set time the lifetime meters do not increment. Just abou all the old PM3 monitors I see have zero lifetime meters because everyone uses the "Just Row" function and that doesn't increment the meters either.
