It's a FIRST EVER !!
Had to look twice at the spreadsheet as the numbers were populating the cells....and then I went to Zach's posted logbook to see HOW he managed this one. Incredible. You'd think we'd been transported to Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, or Neptune along the way, because there were NINE moons encircling our Lunaverse. And then just a few more meters to make the biggest single day palindrome in Lunie history.

He completed this amazing batch of meters in SEVEN hours, 40 minutes - or thereabouts, and in ten separate entry sessions. That's a great day's ride - 138 miles - no downhills. Congratulations, Zach, on once again changing our view of what CAN be done.
That's amazing Zach! I assume you're on IVs right now.

You're in the home stretch, Brett! 20k/day to just tip over the million meter mark - you can do that and then some.

Day 28 of 31 !!!
So. Four days. Lots can indeed happen. Brett has 89,909 m to go to reach ONE million in this Challenge. On a lesser scale, some of us have what seems to be proportionately as big a stretch for reaching 200 K! Whatever your personal targets are over the next four days....go get em! And, while it does initially appear that we are closing the gap with the team ahead of us in this Challenge, I would ask that you watch whether the total meter account is truly changing...or if it is static. There are many, MANY strategies in the last week of a Challenge. I like some of them better than others.
Here are the current standings: https://log.concept2.com/challenges/ftc/2021/teams
MILESTONES...Bragging Rights...Celebrations:
3.6 MM Ron M
2.7 MM Ed
2.05 MM Patrick Hmr

1.05 MM Ted
850 K Rebecca
650 K Peter E
550 K Robin
500 K Ron W...a cool half million!
150 K Josh
Thanks, everyone, for erging with us!
Frank 1,000 m
Leigh 1,022 m
Tony 1,111 m ...a palindrome!
William Ch 1,596 m
GMan 2,110 m
David W 3,025 m
Brickman 3,633 m
Andrea 4,216 m
Jodi 4,926 m
Rebecca 5,000 m
Bernie 5,016 m
Josh 5,039 m
Heather 5,090 m
Peter E 6,005 m
Patrick Hsr 6,707 m
Terry 7,008 m
JD 7,016 m
Tombeur 9,059 m

Rich Mc 16,827 m
david w 17,142 m
Jean 20,247 m
Minnie 20,589 m
Robin 21,278 m...mooner!
Norma 22,222 m ...a palindrome and a mooner!
Ron 23,432 m ... mooner!
Patrick Hmr 30,960 m ... mooner!
Brett 35,113 m .... at this point, 22,500 m a day will feel like a vacation! Mooner!
Ron W 50,000 m ....a hefty deposit into the team challenge coffers! Mooner!
Ed 66,666 m ...an exponential bedevilment kind of palindrome! Mooner!

Thanks for the encouragement all! Going back and forth about whether I should just bang it out or coast in. Leaning towards banging it out.

No doubt - you want to be done, done, done! A couple days of basking as we finish the Challenge will be worth it!

I'm really not feeling it today. Will probably coast to the finish. My apple watch screen cracked this morning. No idea how it happened. Still works though. Just one of those days.

Don't coast now! When the finish line is in sight you should put the power down and cross the line with everything you have!
