50Plus - New Team

Post by warnie » May 16th, 2020, 9:47 am

Guys,

after a number of people were talking about joining a team for the over 50's I've gone and created a team called 50Plus.

Please join if you'd like, no pressure on splits, times or distance - easy going! Do join or I'll be rowing on my own!!

https://log.concept2.com/team/13772

cheers!

I am in my 60s and have just restarted rowing after a hip replacement. 50Plus seems like a good fit so I signed up. Thanks for starting the team.

Hi, I saw your ad in the paper :D

I need a focus right now - I’ve been kinda disorganized lately from a fitness perspective and I’m ready to have a goal of some sort.

I’m not fast but I can put in metres.

I'm in. Just signed on to the team. Been a while since I did this regularly but will be hitting it hard for the next 12 weeks.

Welcome to the team Michelle and 0007.
Got any targets as well as the team challenge .
Helps to have something to aim for.
I am building up endurance with the metres at 18s/m but need to do sessions with higher rating, say 20-24 .
My aim is 14k in 60mins
Enjoy your sessions

A very warm welcome to all the new team members, we now have 15 signed up for the team and each and every one of you are very welcome.

I am now to this captain stuff so still trying to learn what I have to do but the next challenge we have kicks off in 11 days and runs
September 15–October 15. I noticed some of you haven't signed up for the challenge yet so please do so when you get a chance.

Remember, it doesn't matter how fast or slow you are - this team supports everyone and the fact you've made it on the rower to log metres is all that matters.

Oh and enjoy!

I'll message everyone early next week to welcome you to the team and remind you about the challenge!!

cheers.

Thank you for the welcome and the reminder to take that extra step to sign up for the challenge! It’s been awhile since I’ve done a team challenge so I’m a little rusty B)

My only goal with this is to meter munch what I can without blowing up or getting injured. Rowing is a stress reliever for me so I can handle life better 😊 Given that, I would really like to get the 200k certificate and that would put my lifetime meters to 6 million too.

Does anyone here use Rowpro?

Hi all,

Yet another new rower, jumping into the fray at age 59. I began this in June, but managed to hit over 160k meters for the August challenge, so I am definitely hooked!

I would like to join up and help with the new fall challenge and at the same time keep working on improving my form, fitness and times. I have yet to "test" myself on any specific piece and have been focusing on the Beginner Pete Plan for now.

Do I just go ahead and join or is there some approval process?

Many thanks.

Tim
