Going sub 17:30 is a significant milestone mate, really well done. I always have a massive wobble too at that circa 1250m range when I'm doing a TT.
I'm going to have to do another one soon as you're getting far too close to my PB

The splits look well controlled, but the HR tells the real story here. It felt a really really long way, and the last 13k were a bit a battle mentally. I very nearly HD'd with 3k to go. Probably wouldn't have tried the first trip to the gym for months on Thursday night if I'd remembered about this.
Feels like I've been booted up the a*se, and my traps aren't too happy when I try to lift my arms.
But hey, it's a PB (by nearly a whole split), albeit a painful one.

Thanks Siebe,
The gym has only just re-opened post-lockdown. I did a bunch of goblet squats and kettlebell swings, which left me a bit sore.

O, okay. I understand. And your willpower doing a PB attempt was greater then that feeling of soreness. I totally comprehend.

That's a cracking PB with you notably struggling for over half of it. I'm not surprised that you nearly HDed as you beat your PB by circa 37 seconds didn't you?
Make sure you rest and/or go easy over the next few days as this will have taken a big chunk out of you.
