Had too long off, but probably need to give my shoulder a couple more days to heal before I try and row again. With the e-mail that just came out, targeting the Juneteenth challenge seems like a good first day back, if I'm feeling up to it.
Thanks for the heads up, Corey. And I hope your shoulder is improved soon.
Details on the challenges page:

For every person who takes part in our Juneteenth Challenge and completes more than 1900m, we will donate an additional $2 up to a maximum total of $38,000.
It is now 2 years, Corey, since I hurt my right shoulder when I pushed too hard too soon after a an operation to repair a hernia, an injury I aggravated when I overdid it again as my shoulder was mending. It is only now that the shoulder is just about normal. I would counsel caution. Roman times are over when people were sentenced or relegated to the galleys. The metrics are there for our use, not our enslavement. I wish I had heeded my own advice. Good luck for a swift recovery.
Thank you, for the well wishes. Thankfully the shoulder injury isn't due to a surgery or anything too serious. I was hanging a misting system around my back patio for pool days, and I managed to get 3.5 of the 4 legs of the step stool I was on onto the concrete. The last half leg was right where the water was dripping from the loose tubing. It quickly sunk about 18 inches into the mud, and I went down. Thankfully the inflated pool broke my fall somewhat, unfortunately it just broke the fall of my left arm/shoulder, which kind of folded up behind me as the rest of me hit the pavement. I've returned to full range of motion, about 95% pain free.
On the bright side, the misters made the 95 degree heat extremely bearable and was completely worth the pain!
Started rowing 4/22/19.
