Good Day
Cycle 3 wk 1 Steady State
13k at 2:05/500 at 22 SPM which is below target and a mistake. I was working on breathing and stroke length and I guess it slowed the SPM. Happy at that split for 22 actually.

I have been breathing incorrectly. I have found an average of .15 longer stroke with an empty diaphragm or something else,. Not sure. But exhaling on the recovery makes sense.

Good Day,
Cycle 3, Wk 1
8x500 with 3:30r

DATE 3/2. 4714 5/5
500 209.9 203 157.1

500 207.4 201.9 156.2

500 142.6 135.4 134.3

AVE/500 203.4 157.4 153.2

I expect this gets to a 1:50 average and will start to be a pain in the butt. I started too lightly compared to some of the other workouts but it doesn’t appear to be any more gimme’s. Steady State on Wed.

Have a good night,

Good Day,
Cycle 3 wk 1 Steady State
21097 @24spm at 2:04.3/500

My splits were not exact. I am continuing to work out some breathing and stroke length issues and it is causing some swings. Within a second on either side, but not exactly steady.

Completed the FM and HM for the challenge this month. Never done the other two before (century and HA) and am seriously considering them within the time frame as we are under stay at home I have a good amount of recovery time.

Hope you are well.

Hey everyone, I'm a crossfitter doing Pete's plan at the moment during lockdown. I've completed 2 cycles and am loving seeing the gains. My PB was 7:51 last December, I did 7:41 last week after 2 cycles of it. My drag factor was too low though (107), and I think I should be closer to 7:35

Welcome to the forum. Your drag factor isn't necessarily too low, so have a play around and find what works for you. 107 might be your sweet spot but it might 137 or another figure.

You're making good progress so keep going

Hey bud,
Welcome. Nice negative splits on the 8x500.
My drag factor is 130. But like danger said, it’s what suits you.

Took today off 4x2k Friday. Pretty beat up from some lifting. I’ll beat the average but don’t expect much on the last.

Have to switch up my weekend and do some open rate stuff Saturday as I am not around on Sunday. Big test Monday also.

I'm not going to lie and say it's not too bad, because it is truly horrible if you don't pace it correctly, but it's a great feeling when it's done.

Make sure you just really know your limits, achievable pace, nutrition pit stops etc and don't let our ego dictate your decisions. If there's ever a time for sensibility it's this distance.

Best of luck to you too

2:24/500. Just trying to finish under 8 hours. But, yeah, ego. Thanks for the help. I was going to reach out to you once I was done to chat about issues, improving etc.

The 12 hr has me intrigued as well, but I’m sure Monday will shut that voice down for a bit. Haha

Good Day,
Cycle 3 wk 2 open rate
1hr at 13896 meters or 2:09.8/500 with 24 SPM average.
I intentionally took a pee break upstairs after 20 mins to see how long it takes and what I needed to do to get back to a 2:10 average. It’s a lot of work. For distance pieces I guess it’s the breaks that will get you. Time to plan better.

Have a great day, off on Sunday,
