You are a BEAST, Zach. Same to all of you who are giving 30 min more than one attempt. I just finished my go at it and I finished 63m short of my goal. Leaves me very tempted to try again, but I don't think my legs could handle it. Maybe Saturday or Sunday.

How's everybody feeling on their 30 minute row? One-and-done, or a few attempts at it?

I broke my previous PB of 6,894 by cracking the 7k mark, then couldn't quite get off the erg for a few minutes, so I think I drained the tanks on it!

My fear is to fall off the erg while still strapped in. Hope you were okay

Ahem, so. I literally did that tonight. I strapped one foot in, then realized I forgot to put my gloves on. I leaned over to grab them without unstrapping the foot. The reach was just a bit too far. The seat slid back, but I didn't. I bounced my tail bone on the rail and then fell to the floor.

After cursing and then laughing, I proceeded with my second attempt at the 30 minute. I set a new PR, so I'll call that a win.

Can't argue with results, so now you have to do that every time you're planning for a PR row

All FOUR boats have launched!!

Thanks to all who have helped launch the boats - the second and third (and maybe fourth) attempts to increase your distances - setting new personal bests - reports of new moves NOT to make while your feet are encased in the straps , teammates egging each other on...the list goes on! Once our boats launched, other athletes are able to switch their Challenge affiliation to be on the Lunatics boats - we've seen a couple instances of this, and can see it on today's Mercury crew.

Meanwhile, the snow melts and reveals...a grass jungle! It was good to take a break from the data stream on the monitor!

Unlike the first 2 events, I decided to try once more for the 30 minutes. I wasn't sure if I was really up to it, but I thought I could do better. (I couldn't remember what I done at the beginning of the season, but I knew it over 7600 m. I had looked after my first try at the event, and had thought "I did that? Really!?" I didn't I had gotten that much older since the beginning of the season )
I did pretty decent, but it turned out I was 1 m short of my season best.
Oh well, I still moved the boat a little further than before.
